The scope of this notice
Kivo Studios is preparing Blink for adults in Europe. Blink is a dating product, not a healthcare service, diagnostic tool or health data marketplace. We do not request medical histories, diagnoses, prescriptions or fitness-device data on this website.
This supplemental notice explains sensitive-data considerations. It does not announce availability in a US state or replace any additional regional notice that may be required before such a launch. Read it with our Privacy Notice.
How sensitive information can arise
A message or profile can contain health information even when it is not labelled as medical. A photo’s coordinates or a sequence of visits may also suggest a health-related activity, religion or another private part of someone’s life. An inference can be wrong and still be intrusive.
Do not include another person’s medical information in a support request or use Shared moments to investigate someone’s routines. Location sharing is not permission to draw conclusions about a person’s health, identity or private life.
Photo and location controls
Crossed paths use the place and time of your photos and, if you allow it, your location, in the background too. Only a footprint, an area of about 150 m and an hour, is stored on Blink’s servers; the photos and exact coordinates stay on your phone. For a same-place crossing, Blink does not show where or when.
You can switch location off and delete your photo places and location history at any time; the copy on Blink’s servers is deleted too. Turning off an operating-system permission stops future access. Older photos can carry older places, so keep that in mind when you allow photo access.
Consent, purpose and disclosure
The website does not collect health profiles or sell health-related information. Health-based advertising and inferring a diagnosis from visits are not purposes of Shared moments.
If a future online feature requires processing special-category data, Kivo Studios must establish an applicable legal basis and an additional GDPR condition, such as explicit consent where appropriate. The purpose, recipient categories and deletion controls must be explained first. A general acceptance of terms does not itself provide explicit consent for every sensitive use.
Questions and rights
You can ask about access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or a sensitive-data concern at [email protected]. Describe the issue without attaching medical records or precise route histories unless a necessary, appropriate method has been agreed.
